🎉✨ I AM STEPPING OUT... AND STEPPING UP! ✨🎉

This autumn, you won’t catch me curled up on the sofa. I will be quickstepping my way across the dancefloor! I have taken the plunge and signed up as a contestant in Strictly Shropshire 2025, hosted by the fabulous Dance HQ.

💖 WHY I AM DOING THIS

Of course, I love glamour and glitter but this is about something far more meaningful. I will be dancing to raise funds for the incredible children’s hospices Hope House and Tŷ Gobaith. These places do extraordinary work, providing care, comfort and joy to children and families during their difficult times. As someone who is privileged to work for Hope House, I know just how vital fundraising is in ensuring we can provide this essential care. That is why I am happy to take on this challenge, combining my love of dance with a cause very close to my heart.

💃 MY BIG CHALLENGE

Standing in front of people and teaching or delivering training? No problem.

Dancing a quickstep routine in front of 400 people? … a whole new level of bravery (or crazy?) 😬😱

Luckily, I have been allocated Kaynan, a seasoned competitor, as my dance partner to teach me the routine, so I will try to keep a smile on my face without tripping over my own two feet! The training will start in September.

It will be film and musical theme for this year's Strictly performances. The song and character I am dancing to? Well, that’s a surprise… but I promise it’s going to be entertaining!

I’ll be chasing that glitterball on Friday 28th November 2025 at the Lion Quays Hotel & Spa Resort in Oswestry.

It’s going to be a spectacular evening, a full-on sparkle-fest in support of an amazing cause. Tickets are now on sale and you will want to be there!
