Story

Hello, our three names are Evie Kilford, Millie Delacour and Chloe Wells. We were first introduced to the fair earth foundation in February of 2024 where we went out on a college trip to Tenerife for two weeks. On this trip we explored the island of Tenerife and learnt about many of the fair earth foundations projects. After our two week trip in February we went back out in April for another two weeks without our college to explore our own project, which was to work with a local dog sanctuary K9. At K9 we would take the dogs on half an hour walks from 11am to 1pm to ensure they got the exercise they needed. Whilst we were at the sanctuary we made a documentary to bring awareness to the growing problem of stray dogs and cats in Tenerife. Now we are hoping to help the people of the Muong Da to rebuild their school to help the young boys and girls get the education they desperately need to escape poverty. By working with the Fair earth foundation we will hopefully be able to make a difference with your help.

The tribes in Vietnam have been able to preserve their cultural heritage and lead independent lives, yet they face severe poverty. Education offers young people, especially young girls, a path out of this hardship. This matters to us because, without educational opportunities, young girls are at risk of being sold at local “Love markets” to men, a prospect that deeply troubles us. We are determined to make a difference, and we ask for your support in this effort.

Every penny we raise will be reflected on this page and will go directly to support the Muong people. Our goal is to get the school up and running again by Christmas. Any additional funds will be used to improve the school’s facilities and to establish a scholarship fund, especially for girls, to pursue higher education. Additionally, 20% of donations will go toward local tree-planting efforts to enhance food security.

Please give whatever you can, even if it’s just £1, it all makes a difference. Every contribution builds the momentum we need to reach our goal, and together, we can make this vision a reality.
