Women’s health is not a joke. It’s real, it’s painful, and far too often it’s ignored.
I’ve spent the majority of my life living in pain. Not occasional discomfort, but relentless, life-disrupting pain. And like so many others, I’ve had to fight every step of the way just to be heard, let alone believed.
It took nearly 9 years for doctors to finally diagnose me with endometriosis and, after more years of unanswered questions, fertility struggles and worsening symptoms, I was also diagnosed with adenomyosis.
By then, the damage had already taken its toll. These conditions haven’t just affected my day-to-day life, they’ve caused complications in multiple organs, including one of my kidneys, which is now close to failure.
This is not normal. And yet, this is the reality for so many women.
Our pain is not taken seriously. The wait times for proper diagnosis and treatment are outrageous.
That’s why I’m beyond honoured to be one of the models in this powerful campaign for Women’s Health Hope. We’re launching the world’s first Painathon, a fundraising movement to highlight the marathon wait times for gynaecological care and raise the funds needed to support women on their journeys.
Every share, every donation, every bit of support makes a difference.
Thank you, from the bottom of my heart. ❤️
