On Friday 4 October, I will be sleeping out so no woman has to and to raise awareness of women's homelessness! I am taking part with my close friend’s Ellie and Nat where we have all worked for years to end women's homelessness.

My background is in supporting women through homelessness and I have seen first-hand the devastating impact homelessness has on women. Women are at a much higher risk of sexual assault when rough sleeping and there is a huge shortage of female-only accommodation and support services in Bristol.

The money raised will be going to One25:-

Of the 271 women that One25 supported in the last year, 53% of them have experienced homelessness. One25 is a Bristol women's charity which reaches out to women who street sex work and support them to move from crisis and trauma towards independence in the community.

Here's an idea of what your donation could achieve:

- £50 can stock the outreach van with food parcels and drinks for a week, providing vital nourishment for women facing hunger.

- £14 could provide clothing and essential items for a woman, helping her be safer and healthier.

- £120 could pay for our outreach Emergency Accommodation Fund for a month, giving women a safe place to sleep for the night when they have nowhere else to go.
