Story
I'm thrilled to announce that I'm participating in my first ever Half Marathon in Nottingham! Training has been a brilliant journey so far.
A year ago, I could barely run for 10 minutes and had just started Couch to 5K. Now, I've surpassed that milestone and am ready for my next challenge.
I'm raising money for Emmanuel House, a local charity I truly believe in. I pass by its support centre every week and have always wanted to help. So, I'm putting my legs to work to raise much-needed funds for it.
About Emmanuel House:
Emmanuel House supports people who are homeless, rough sleeping, have No Recourse to Public Funds, or are at risk of homelessness in Nottingham.
It has been operating from its day centre since 1976, meeting people’s basic human needs, providing showers, food and clothing and providing support surrounding housing, benefits and mental and physical health. Alongside this, its Outreach Team provides tenancy and mental health support. Its Winter Shelter is open October - April and provides short-term emergency accommodation.
