Story
My name is Evan Burwell. I currently serve as the Junior Assistant Scoutmaster alongside my Scoutmaster and leaders of Troop 275 in Indian Land, SC.
I began my scouting adventure as a Tiger Cub in the 1st grade. For the past 12 Years, I have been working hard to fulfill my ultimate goal, earning Eagle Scout. I am excited to announce that I’m on my final stretch to achieve that much anticipated goal.
Scouting is greatly important to me because of the skills and knowledge that I’ve learned within it that I can carry to my adult life. I’ve met numerous friends during my scouting experience, many that I still keep up with to this day.
For the past couple of months, I have been working with my leaders and Ms. Danielle Holmes of Anne Springs Close Greenway to put together an Eagle Project that will not only benefit my path towards Eagle, but will also benefit Anne Springs Greenway as a whole. After looking through all the available options, Ms. Holmes and I agreed on supplying additional Picnic tables to supplement the others that are already in use throughout the ASC Greenway property.
This will greatly benefit Anne Springs Close Greenway. With the large amount of visitors each year, it was brought to my attention that there was a need for additional picnic tables.
The tables will serve various purposes to benefit the visitors. They will be available for dining, fellowship, classroom activities, or various other uses as the ASC Greenway leadership sees fit.
My financial plan consists of raising $3,000. The majority of the money raised will go towards supplying the materials needed to construct the tables. Any excess money leftover will be donated to ASCG.
Thank you so much for your support in helping me accomplish my goal, as well as supporting Anne Springs Close Greenway.
The Greenway has been a part of various activities along my scouting journey, and i’m honored to be able to give back to them now.
