Story
Evaluation Consultants would like to raise money for the Rare Disease UK charity in memory of our dear colleague and friend Shanay D'Arcy, who sadly passed away in December last year. This came as a shock to everyone and she is truly missed.
Shanay became very unwell at the end of November which lead to further complications which she did not recover from. Some of these factors fall under the rare disease charity.
7 brave Evaluation team members are going to take part in a 12,000ft Tandem Skydive on the 21st June 2024 to raise money for this worthy charity. Thank you to Archie Arnold, Aiden Coyle, Martin Edwards, Dan Green, Harley Holton Dylan, McGovern and Lukasz Udala.
Please help us reach our target of £3000 and help this charity get the support it needs.
1 in 17 people will be affected by a rare condition at some point in their lives. The average patient receives THREE misdiagnoses, consults with FIVE doctors and waits FOUR years before receiving a diagnosis. Some people have to wait over 20 years to receive a final diagnosis.
Your support can help:
- Champion timely diagnosis and coordinated care for people living with rare conditions; Provide a strong voice for the rare and genetic community;
- Ensure scientific breakthroughs in genomics drive better research and services, and;
- Promote opportunities to expand new born and population screening in line with international best practice.
- Rare Disease UK is a campaign run by Genetic Alliance UK, the national charity of over 230 patient organisations, supporting all those affected by genetic and rare conditions.
