Story

We don't usually ask for sponsorship for triathlons or events, and that was going to be the same for this one, but 2023 threw a spanner in there and now the 6th August is very special...

On Saturday August 6th 2022 two of our best friends got married. It was the best day made even more special knowing I was the one that had introduced them 6 years before.

On Saturday 6th May 2023 Rachel peacefully passed away after a short battle with a very aggressive form of Secondary Breast Cancer (Triple Negative) which had spread to her Liver and Bones.

On Sunday 6th August 2023, exactly a year after one of the happiest days of my life, and 3 months after one of the saddest, my brother Robbie and I are taking part in the Olympic Distance London Triathlon.

In Rachel’s final week she was supported by the amazing Cancer team and Macmillan nurses at Mount Vernon Hospital, and we want to say thank you.
