Story
Movember are the leading charity changing the face of men’s health. They know what works for men – and what doesn’t. Mental health, suicide prevention, prostate and testicular cancer – they're taking them all on.
Every year I mindlessly attempt to grow a moustache for Movember and chuck a few quid in donations. This year I want to do more.
I just turned 27 and I want to push my body to it's limits for a great cause. From August-December I'm going to run a DIY marathon in all 27 capital cities of the European Union, finishing up with 100 miles from Dublin to Belfast. The furthest I have ever run is a half marathon so I'll be spending the next 6 months getting my body as prepared as possible.
I've always tried to put on a brave face and be as positive as I can but from 2020-2023 I had a bit of a stinker with my mental and physical health. Thankfully that's all in the rear view mirror. My main aim here is to raise money and awareness for a great cause that helps men going through similar struggles and inspire some positive change.
Keep checking your minds, bodies and nuts boys. Start speaking up and stop suffering in silence. Stay healthy, get outside your comfort zone, challenge yourself to be better and have some fun in the process.
