Story
When I turned twenty the last thing I expected was to be diagnosed with cancer. Since then, my eyes have been opened to the many young people who have faced similar yet unique experiences. I was diagnosed with non-Hodgkin's diffuse B-cell lymphoma after discovering a lump in my neck. It was an experience I will never forget due to the physical and mental toll it took on me. However, no matter how difficult things got, I always had the support of my friends and family which really did help me push myself to keep going when I felt like I was done.
This year, I am participating in Brave to share my story and reach out to other young people who might be feeling confused or scared. If my story can help someone going through similar, stepping out of my comfort zone will be worth it. Please join me in supporting Friends of Anchor and making a difference in the lives of those affected by cancer.
