Story
We the Victrix Runners from St. Mary's Catholic Church, will proudly be lacing up our running boots for a cause that strikes at the heart of our community's values.
On 26 May 2024, we will be participating in the Great Manchester Run to raise funds and awareness for Caritas, an organisation deeply embedded in the fabric of the Salford Diocese, dedicated to alleviating poverty, supporting the vulnerable, and championing social justice across our neighborhoods.
This initiative is more than a race; it's a tangible expression of our faith in action, a collective effort to embody the principles of compassion, solidarity, and love that our Catholic Church stands for.
By participating in this fundraising event, every kilometer we conquer, every sweat we shed, translates into direct support for Caritas's impactful projects. It's an opportunity for us to unite, as a community, in our commitment to making a meaningful difference in the lives of those in need.
We run not just for the physical challenge, but to uphold the dignity of every individual, fostering a more inclusive, caring, and just society. Join us in this vital mission—your support propels us forward, one step at a time.
