Story

Buckle up and join us as The Three Unwise Men take on the Poles of Inconvenience Rally! We're not just rallying for the unbelievable adventure - we are rallying to support an amazing cause.

Who are we?

We are The Three Unwise Men. Our team is made up of two Suffolk boys and a Spaniard hoping to give our rusty, written-off Ford Fiesta the adventure of a lifetime. The idea was, of course, originally devised in the pub with Jake suggesting it. Apart from a driver's licence and a keen sense of enthusiasm, it is quite difficult to pin down exactly what the Suffolk boys bring to the team. Surprisingly, in a more sober moment Nat had the more practical idea of phoning Estanis who certainly adds more car knowledge than Jake and himself combined. Estanis found our (t)rusty steed, Felicia, through a friend and she set us back the fine sum of £350. Her condition at best could be described as undriveable. Miraculously, Estanis got her running and after some of his finest bodging she passed her MOT. Chief Mechanic Estanis is now in a stage of finer tuning with a roof fack, rally light bars and the like going in. From the most recent photos, she looks the part! With bond-like switches, presumably for the ejector seat and champagne.

The Challenge

The Poles of Inconvenience Rally is unlike any other. It's a cross between a gameshow and a car rally. However, unlike a normal rally, the more unsuitable the car the better. This epic rally will lead us to some of the most remote and challenging terrains on the planet, testing our endurance, resourcefulness, and teamwork. Each Pole of Inconvenience is hand-selected to be as impractical, difficult, stupid and even sometimes impossible to reach. In our minds, it's just a Top Gear special!

Why we're taking part

As well as the opportunity for adventure this rally is also driven by a higher purpose. We are raising funds for the T-21 charity, an incredible organization that provides employment opportunities and activities for young adults with Down's Syndrome. This cause is very close to our hearts; Nat's cousin Cosmo has Down's Syndrome and has been working in the Café for a couple of years now. He always says it is one of the best parts of his week and he has made a huge number of friends there - from colleagues to regulars.

The Impact of Your Support

Every donation we receive goes directly to T-21, making a tangible difference in the lives of those who need it most. Your contribution will go toward the T-21 Activities Programme which is not funded by the cafe itself. This is a section of the charity's work where they put on cookery, horticulture, woodwork, and craft activities that complement the team's work in the cafe.

Join Us on This Journey

We can't do this alone – we need your support! By donating to our campaign, you become a crucial part of our adventure and our mission to create positive change. Whether you contribute £1 or £100, every donation brings us closer to our goal.

To follow our progress make sure to follow our Instagram @the.three.unwise.men where we will post regular updates of our preparation and the real thing! The rally takes place from the 14.07.2024 - 07.08.2024.

Thank You!

From The Three Unwise Men thank you for your generosity and belief in our mission.

Jake, Estanis and Nat
