On September 8th 2024 , Alex, Evan Greg, Mark, Paul and Richard will participate in the challenging Race the Sun event on behalf of Action Medical Research. This includes a 2 mile circular lake kayak race, quickly followed by 18 mile off road mountain bike race through the Whinlatter Forest and up towards the summit of Grisdale Pike and finishing with a gruelling 12 mile hike up and around Latrigg in the UK Lake District

Action Medical Research is the leading UK charity dedicated to funding vital research to help sick and disabled babies, children, and young people. Action has been funding medical breakthroughs for 70 years now and has helped to beat polio, fight meningitis, prevent stillbirths, and develop ultrasound scanning in pregnancy. By supporting Action Medical Research, you are helping to find ways to reduce premature birth, supporting children facing a lifetime of challenges caused by disabilities, and driving forward the development of cutting-edge therapies for rare and incurable diseases.

Teams will be taking on an incredible challenge journeying through the majestic mountains and sprawling lakes surrounding Keswick. They will complete a course that sees them hike, paddle and go off-road bike riding, between dawn and dusk, racing the sun on this triathlon-style adventure charity fundraising challenge.
