Erin and Sam trek the Himalayas for Coppafeel!

CoppaTrek! with Gi - Himalayas · 9 November 2024 to 17 November 2024 ·
This November Erin will be joining Coppafeel! in the Indian Himalayas to be a TEAM CAPTAIN on the upcoming CoppaTrek! with Gi 🥾♥️
To make the trip even better, Sam is coming too to add his energy and positivity to the adventure! We have been desperate to join a trek for years and Erin is so excited to jump straight from the Paris Paralympics into CoppaTrek training!
Alongside an incredible team of 120 trekkers, we will be trekking for 5 days in the mountains, to raise vital funds and awareness for the breast cancer awareness charity, Coppafeel! - a charity very close to their heart since Erin’s breast cancer diagnosis in 2022. Kris Hallenga, the founder of a Coppafeel was a friend of Erin’s and started the charity when she struggled to be taken seriously by doctors due to her age. Without Coppafeel!’s outreach, Erin wouldn’t have found her own cancer and her story could have looked very different.
For those less familiar with Erin’s story, she was diagnosed with Breast Cancer in 2022 just months after winning a gold medal in Tokyo. Erin continued to compete and train whilst on chemotherapy and even won the 2022 European Championships whilst on treatment. She has a total of 15 rounds of chemo before having a double mastectomy in January 2023. She returned to international competition that May, a year to the day of being diagnosed and recently retained her title out in Paris, making her the only coxswain to win two Paralympic Gold medals.
CoppaFeel! are the UK’s only youth-focused breast cancer awareness charity, and are on a mission to get every 18-24-year-old checking their chest. They educate people on the signs and symptoms of breast cancer and encourage them to check their chests regularly, so that if they notice something unusual they are empowered to contact their GP and advocate for themselves.
CoppaFeel!'s message is super important to both Sam and Erin, which is why they would be so grateful for your support. Every penny will help ensure Coppafeel! can continue their incredible work.
We are so excited, after Erin visited the Brecon Beacons CoppaTrek, she was overflowing with energy and positivity! They can’t wait to meet all the trekkers and take on this huge challenge together!!
