100 Miles in March

Lewy body dementia is the second most common cause of age-related dementia, affecting around 130,000 people in the UK. We raise awareness of the disease, provide information to patients and carers, and fund research so that in future it can be more easily diagnosed and treated.

Story

The Lewy Body Society was founded in 2006 to support research into Lewy body dementia and to raise awareness of the disease. We aim to educate the public, the medical professions and those in decision-making positions about the disease, which unfortunately is still not well known.

Throughout the upcoming month of March, I've set myself a challenge to walk/run a total of 100 miles to raise funds for The Lewy Body Society. This cause holds a special place in my heart as I'm undertaking this journey in loving memory of my late Grandpa, who passed away in May 2020 after battling Lewy Body dementia for over ten years.
