Story

The Get Busy Living Centre provides expert physiotherapy, specialist personal training, support, mentoring and advice to people suffering a life-changing injury through sport. It's a unique facility which opened its doors in 2018 and is the brainchild of founder and former England and Leicester Tigers rugby player Matt Hampson, who himself experienced a life-changing injury in 2005 leaving him paralysed from the neck down, aged just 20.

Building a sense of community is central to the Matt Hampson Foundation. In the aftermath of an incident which leads to a life-changing injury most people and their families feel isolated with an overwhelming sense of loss for what has been taken away from them.

Why have I chosen the Matt Hampson Foundation? … in February 2022 I very sadly lost my uncle to Cancer. I will be running the London Landmarks for him, in his memory & for this amazing Charity, his chosen charity.

For those that didn’t know my Uncle, he adored sport, especially Rugby! Leicester Tigers being his team! When I discovered what the Matt Hampson Foundation was all about I was not surprised this amazing charity was my uncles chosen charity, and I knew I had to do what I could to support & raise money for them.

In my heart I know my uncle would be so proud, and in a way it’s a part of me that can be close to him.

Please help me raise money for the Matt Hampson Foundation and in memory of my amazing uncle. It would mean the world
