Special Olympics has been very near and dear to my heart for my years, and I can remember volunteering for over 12 years at numerous events. The athletes make it all worth it, they are so excited and thrilled to be taking part in such a rewarding programs and sporting events.

Every year during the Special Olympics Law Enforcement Torch Run, athletes, their family and friends, law enforcement, and people of all walks of life come together to support the cause. All the Torch Runs help show all the Special Olympic Athletes how valued, and truly special they are. :) Law Enforcement has many supporters, but none more true than the athletes and their family and friends within the Special Olympics.

Special Olympics brings joy to so many, and I feel it is our responsibility to continue to ensure Special Olympic athletes all over New York and the world are able to participate in all that Special Olympics has to offer.

I will be running the 2024 NYC Marathon on Sunday, November 3, 2024 to raise awareness and funds for the athletes of Special Olympics New York.

In addition, Officer Dennison Wright of the Rochester New York Police Department who was injured in the line of duty and I have also decided to do something out of the ordinary to raise funds for the Special Olympics as well....

On Sunday June 16th, 2024, Officer Dennison Wright and I will be Skydiving at WNY Skydiving located at: 4906 Pine Hill Rd, Albion NY 14411. We are scheduled to begin at 12 noon, but with instruction and prep for our Tandem Skydive....the dive should happen between 1:30 pm and 2:30 pm. Please consider coming out to support the adventure and the cause!

The Polar Plunge for Special Olympics, Cops on Tops for Special Olympics, Fire Truck Pulls, and so many more fundraising events make it possible for the Special Olympic Athletes to be able to participate in levels of the Special Olympics.

I know many athletes have inspired me, and will continue to do so. I am running the New York City Marathon to show them how much I believe in them and want them all to succeed...with a smile on their faces. :)
