Story
Every day, 1 in every 7 babies born in the UK requires specialist care. Never did we imagine we would be included in this 1 statistic however after having our daughter 10 weeks early, we spent 7 weeks in NICU with Faye receiving this vital care.
As part of the '62 Miles in May for Bliss' trek event starting May 1, 2024, Conal and I are rallying support for Bliss, the leading UK charity for babies born premature or sick.
Your generous donation to our page will directly contribute to Bliss's mission of driving improvements in neonatal care and ensuring that the needs of these vulnerable babies are at the heart of policy and planning for the future. Additionally, your support will enable Bliss to provide essential information and unwavering support to all families with a baby born premature or sick.
Not only did the Antrim Neonatal Unit care for our girl, they also provided a huge amount of support to Conal and I while going through one of the toughest journeys we have ever faced. From having a councillor to speak to when things got rough, to making sure we recieved a hot meal every single day. The staff on the ward gave us the confidence to care for Faye amidst all the wires and tubes that had taken over her tiny frame.
Join us in making a meaningful difference for these little fighters. Together, let's ensure that every baby gets a fighting chance at a healthy start in life.
