This will be the fourth Epsom Downs Mascot Race (Renamed as Epsom Mascot Derby) & we want it to be the biggest yet!

The Mascot Race was started in 2021 in memory of Geoff & Jenny Smith & Denys Hutson, who for years between them organised mascot events raising money for charity mainly The Children's Trust Tadworth, this race is a lasting legacy in their memory continuing their amazing work, they are dearly missed by their mascot Family.

The mascot race takes part of Epsom Downs Racecourse Family Fun day on August 26th Bank Holiday Monday the Mascot Race will start the days racing at 1pm (mascots will be in the parade ring for 12:30pm) followed by a days horse racing as well as kids races, and lots of family fun throughout the day, Kids go free to the event. (Tickets required)

Mascots from football, rugby, cycling, cricket, athletics, basketball, Ice Hockey & businesses will be invited, this is a mascot race organised by mascots doing their best to ensure all mascots see this as the best mascot event to attend.

It is the largest free to enter Mascot Race for all mascots in the UK, maybe the world!

Mascots from as far North as Scotland & Hartlepool & as far West as Truro attended last year.

This year you can sponsor your favourite mascot & there is a prize for the mascot who raises the most, if you are sponsoring your favourite mascot please mention who you are sponsoring & the mascot who has raised the most will win a prize to show off in their trophy cabinet!

The Children’s Trust is the UK’s leading charity for children with brain injury. They deliver rehabilitation, education and community services through skilled teams who work with children and young people, and their families. They are based in Tadworth, Surrey very close to Epsom Downs race course.

They provide brain injury information in an understandable language and hope that parents, teachers and families find it helpful on their on-going journey following a child's brain injury.

As a mascot I have been privileged to visit staff & patients there & see the amazing work they do.
