Why Squats for Sepsis?

Sepsis is a condition that can affect anyone, regardless of age or fitness level. It's a silent killer that claims lives every day. Our daily 100 squats challenge symbolizes the daily struggle that sepsis patients face. Just as we push ourselves with squats, we're pushing for change in the fight against sepsis.

Sepsis is a devastating illness that can strike unexpectedly. It not only affects the individuals who suffer from it but also their families, friends, and communities. But the good news is that sepsis is preventable and treatable if detected early. The UK Sepsis Trust is doing an incredible job raising awareness of the symptoms of the condition to empower people to seek medical advice quickly before the infection spreads. They also offer advice and support for everyone whose life has been touched by sepsis.

Our Commitment:

Our team has committed to doing 100 squats a day for the whole of November. This doesn't sound as challenging as doing an abseil or running a marathon but it requires daily commitment and endurance and let's be honest here, not all of us go to the gym every day!! It's a small sacrifice compared to the challenges faced by sepsis patients, but we hope it is a powerful way to show our support and dedication to this cause.

How You Can Help:

Donations: Every contribution, big or small, makes a difference. Please consider making a donation to support our squat challenge and Sepsis UK.

Sharing: Share our fundraiser with your friends and family. Help us spread the word and encourage others to join this cause.

Join Us: If you're feeling adventurous, you can even join in the 100 squats a day challenge. Let's squat for a cause!

If you or someone you know has been affected by sepsis, we encourage you to share your story. Personal stories are powerful tools to inspire others to seek medical help or tell their loved ones to do so.

Sepsis accounts for 48,000 deaths annually in the UK, that’s more than breast, bowel and prostate cancer put together. Sepsis is what happens when our immune system overreacts to an infection. Symptoms initially present as flu like but can rapidly deteriorate into a life threatening condition.
