Story

The ONs proudly present emzae live for the Nottingham Hospitals Arts Programme on Sunday 17th December at 8pm. You can watch the performanc here.

emzae spent six years writing, recording, mixing and producing her debut album at home. All Those Things I Thought I Knew came out on 1st September to universal critical acclaim. To celebrate the release she played a headline show at Rough Trade, where Suede, Bombay Bicycle Club and FIZZ have also promoted their new albums in Nottingham this year.

A frequent performer on BBC Introducing stages, emzae has played Nottingham's Hockley Hustle, Dot2Dot and Beat The Streets festivals. Last year the DHP Family chose her to support Altered Images at the Rescue Rooms.

You can see and hear the personality and songwriting ability emzae brings to bear here. Vinyl and digital copies of her album are available on bandcamp and you can follow her on Instagram, Facebook and the Normal Life Pending blog.

The NUH Arts Programme brings music, poetry and colour to Nottingham's hospitals. Arts Coordinator Megan Dawes organises a range of creative sessions for patients and staff, as well as enhancing corridors and rooms with visual arts. Megan works closely with the Staff Wellbeing team, to add arts forms to their already brilliantly varied offering.

There are exciting projects coming up, including an arts trail, a visual arts project for stroke rehabilitation areas and increased opportunities for both staff and patients to enjoy music and participatory arts.

The Arts Programme can only do all this with your help. You can make a real difference to the experience, especially of long-term patients, children and people with life-limiting illnesses. Thank you for supporting this important work.
