This year, I have set myself an incredible challenge: running a marathon in support of Anthony Nolan, a charity dedicated to saving the lives of people with blood cancer and blood disorders.

Anthony Nolan works tirelessly to match stem cell donors with patients in desperate need of a transplant. Their research, support for patients, and efforts to grow the stem cell donor registry make a life-changing difference for so many individuals and families. I want to do my part in ensuring this vital work continues.

Running a marathon is no small feat, but it pales in comparison to the strength and resilience shown by those battling blood cancer. As I train for this race, I am constantly reminded of the courage these patients show every single day. That is why every step I take, every mile I complete, will be in honor of them.

This cause is deeply personal to me. I am running this marathon as a bone marrow donor who has witnessed firsthand the life-saving impact of a stem cell transplant. My recipient is still alive today, now 18 months into renewed life because of this therapy. Additionally, I am dedicating this race to my manager, who is currently battling an aggressive sarcoma. Her strength and perseverance inspire me daily. She has always gone above and beyond to support and uplift me, and now I want to do everything I can to show my support and raise awareness.
