Story
I am taking part in four swims this year for Level Water - the Shepperton 24hr relay (not on my own thankfully - with seven friends), the Bantham Swoosh, the Dart 10k and the Hurly Burly (also 10k)... it's a daunting prospect, they're going to push me to the limit of my endurance (which let's face it is pretty low) and my fitness levels are very much not where they should be for the first event!
But I've been raising money for a few years now for Level Water and I really believe that all the training and effort and shivering and crying is worth it to support the brilliant work they do in delivering swimming lessons to children with disabilities. So please - every penny counts - support my mission if you can!
Many thanks,
Emma
The first splash. The holding your breath. The echoes of laughter. The wet hair. The lifted spirits. The joy of gliding through water. The smile that lasts all day.
Swimming is like nothing else. The skills you develop, the confidence you build and the joys you feel are all universal. Yet access to swimming in the UK is not.
At Level Water, we use the power of swimming to improve lives for children with disabilities.
Everyone should have the opportunity to learn to swim and fall in love with the water.
