We Fight chest, heart & stroke illnesses to Improve the lives of people across NI

Story

Belfast Firewalk was created by Jennie Wallace. After suffering a devasting stroke in 2023 Jennie lost the use of her left leg & arm. With support from NICHS Jennie learned to walk again, and now she's going to learn to walk on fire!

After losing Meryl’s Aunt Vicky and inspired by Jennie’s brave story we have decided to take part in this wonderful event .

Sadly Vicky was suffering from cancer and then had a series of strokes . The chest, heart and stroke foundation were with Vicky every step of the way , this gave Vicky hope for her future independence. They punctuated her day with visits for dexterity tests, tasks and homework’s.

They were both professional and encouraging. Vicky loved getting off the ward and going down to their gym space. All of this motivated Vicky greatly with the team providing joy and essential hope in Vicky’s hours of need, making her feel supported everyday!

Meryl and I would be very grateful for any support you can give in helping such a worth while charity provide others with these essential services . Thank you ❤️
