The award-winning Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) at the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital is a highly specialist unit looking after the needs of premature and critically ill babies. The NICU is one of only three specialist neonatal units

Story

I am taking on the Chiltern 50 Ultra Action Challenge with a group of M4 staff, in support of our colleague Andrew, who has chosen to fundraise for this fantastic cause, after witnessing their life-saving work first hand.

Andrew & his partner recently welcomed a baby girl into the world - Baby Olivia was born at 24 weeks, weighing 470 grams and was only given a 5-10% chance of survival. After 141 days, in 4 different NICUs she is now happily home with Mum and Dad thanks to their amazing work. Andrew has now chosen to fundraise to help contribute to them continuing their life-saving work!

The money raised will help the NICU team to do 'more', by providing extra state-of-the-art medical equipment, additional training, improvements to the hospital environment, or better staff rest area facilities.

Your support helps to make a difference.
