Bridging the Gap Walk 20km London, 21 June 2024
On June 21st, 2024, a group of IHP staff and other close friends of IHP will be walking the London bridges to celebrate 20 years of IHP bridging the gap to access to healthcare around the world.

Story

On June 21st, I will be completing a challenge across London with the charity I work for, International Health Partners (IHP). Every day people face barriers to receiving the healthcare they need, IHP exists to bridge the gap by enabling patients to access the quality medicine they need with dignity. We will be walking as a charity approximately 20km across 16 historic bridges in central London, to raise vital funds for the safe and fast distribution of essential medicine. As a team we will carry an Essential Health Pack (EHP), or mobile pharmacy, with us (2 boxes weighing 10 kg each), just as our in-country partners do distributing medicine to patients in hard-to-reach communities around the world. Our bridging the gap fund serves as our response to escalating health needs in underserved regions, ensuring that critical medicines and supplies reach those who need them the most, when they need them. Will you join me in bridging this gap?
