Story
Thank you for taking the time to read my story:
I'm taking part in the Air Ambulance Runway Run on Thursday 12th September to support our air ambulance, which is a cause very close to my heart.
On Sunday 26th May 2024, my daddy Christopher Murray was involved in a motorbike crash whilst taking part in a track day at Bishopscourt.
Daddy fractured his C2 and damaged his spinal cord resulting in quadriplegia. His injuries are very similar to the Superman actor Christopher Reeve.
Daddy is being very well looked after in the Regional Intensive Care Unit in the Royal Victoria Hospital, Belfast. Thankfully, he is making miraculous progress and is able to speak, eat and drink. As a family, we are looking forward to getting daddy home and will remain indebted to the First Responders and Air Ambulance for saving daddy's life.
By fundraising I hope to secure vital funds to sustain our air ambulance service, which is needed on average twice per day. Whilst visiting daddy each day in hospital I am aware of the Air Ambulance flight landings taking place on the RICU rooftop. Your fundraising will support future patients wherever they are.
Every pound raised is helping the charity to treat the most critically ill and injured patients across Northern Ireland.
I am very grateful for your support. Emma
