Story
Hello you lovely people !
Thanks for clicking on the link to donate ☺️
Yes!! I’m going to attempt Everest Basecamp in 2024 and Yes I am very excited to share my story with you and for you to follow my experience.
My trip lasts about 14 days, over this period of time some of these days include travelling, acclimatisation days, visiting towns and cities, seeing some incredible views and of course trekking. Over the this time I will be trekking 130KM, climb 5,364m.
I have decided to do this challenge to raise money for Kidney Wales. This charity is very close to my heart because of my lovely mum Helen who began to get poorly. She has a condition called Polysistic Kidneys and needed a kidney transplant desperately. She held on for quite a while and was eventually gifted a new kidney from an unknown donor.
For us as a family we felt like we had won the lottery, it was the best feeling in the world.
The next few hours were vital and as a family we were strong. Myself, my dad & my 2 brothers, Pete and Marc made our way to the Heath hospital in Cardiff.
My mums operation started at 12.30am and was completed at 6.30am - 6 hours in total.
I didn’t sleep that night and wrote my mum a letter that I wanted to give to her when she woke up (This was my way of coping with the uncertainty that was happening). She still has this letter to this day🫶🏼.
The reason why I am doing this challenge is to give back to the charity what they have given my family, Love, Hope and Life.
I will do my best to keep you all updated on my journey and I am sure you will all follow me on my link for the best entertainment ever ! 😍
I am beyond grateful that Helly Hansen are sponsoring me for this trip, which helps massively. By the time I do this trip I would’ve been working for this amazing company a whole 25 years of my life.
I would love to raise as much money as I can for this charity. So please help where you can, I really appreciate it.
