Story

I am joining the PANS PANDAS UK community this July and taking on a challenge to support families affected by PANS and PANDAS.

For families affected by PANS and PANDAS, every day can be a challenge, so I am taking on my challenge to make sure that no one faces it alone.

PANS PANDAS UK are the only UK charity created to educate the medical community and general public about these conditions with a view to ensuring better diagnosis and early effective treatment for those affected with these little recognised but life changing conditions.

I have been out pounding the streets to take part in our local half marathon on the 28th June 2024 (which is also my birthday 🥳).

We want to raise money for PANS PANDAS UK, a charity very close to our hearts . Mollie, our daughter is 12 years old and in 2022 , aged 10, was diagnosed with PANDAS. Her life changed overnight in March 2022 and it has been a long and at times very difficult journey .

PANDAS is a condition that results in inflammation of the brain, causing a range of neuro-psychiatric symptoms, such as motor vocal tics, OCD, anxiety , rage , enuresis.. the list goes in .

2 years on, Mollie is doing amazing and continues to improve. We are so proud of her and what she has achieved and in Mollie’s own words .. ‘never give up ..’

Thank you!
