Story
If Theo can do hard things, so can you!
Join us in walking, jogging or running 100km during the month of March for the “Holles Street to Home” challenge in aid of the NMH Foundation.
Our beautiful boy Theo was born in December 2024 in the National Maternity Hospital, Holles Street. For the first few days and weeks of his life, Theo spent his time in the NICU facing quite a few challenges. He had to do lots of hard things, braving a battle of respiratory difficulties and ventilation as a tiny newborn.
Theo was a very lucky boy to have been in the care of the most wonderful team of Neonatal doctors, specialists, nurses and midwives. Words cannot begin to describe the quality of care, expertise and kindness each member of the team showed our family during this time. The angels working behind the doors of the Neonatal Department are truly exceptional and deserve every bit help they can get through the NMH foundation.
Nobody can imagine their newborn spending time in the NICU rather than in the comfort of their own home. Please contribute what you can or join us in taking part in the Holles Street to Home challenge to raise vital funds for to the NMH Foundation and help women and babies, thrive, arrive, survive.
Theo is now at home thriving and surpassing all milestones, doing regular baby things. Without the specialised care, early intervention and medical expertise he received during his time at Holles Street, Theo would not be the wonderfully healthy beautiful boy he is today.
