Story

I moved across the world and joined the London Ambulance Service just before the COVID pandemic in 2020, what ended up being a very difficult time for all of us in healthcare.

Nothing made a difficult shift better quite like seeing the ‘tea truck’ coming up the hospital ramp; a laugh with colleagues over a cup of hot chocolate broke up the day. The London Ambulance Charity organised these ‘tea trucks’ as well as many other services to improve our working lives. I’ve decided to take on this new challenge to raise money for a charity that helped me and many others through a difficult time in the hope that these services can continue to brighten the most difficult working days.

I’m hoping that the money raised will help to continue these practical services for staff during what continues to be a difficult time for the NHS generally. Your support is greatly appreciated! Thank you 💚

About the charity

The Charity supports the people of the London Ambulance Service by improving rest break areas and amenities, providing financial hardship support and wellbeing initiatives, and saves more lives by training communities in life saving skills and improving defibrillators access across London.
