Back in February 2019 at just 3 month's old my son Hugo Jack Andrew Cooke was sadly fighting for his life with Pneumococcal Meningitis. If it wasn't for the outstanding care and operation Birmingham Children's Hospital gave my son he wouldn't be here today. He may not of had an easy start to life but we couldn't be prouder of him for defying all the odds against him surviving.
He's now a happy 6 year old despite all of his struggles from the side effects of him having meningitis. He's the most loving, carefree little boy and everyone who knows him couldn't be prouder of him.
I will forever by grateful for what they done for him and for the care they shown us as a family. So I would like to give back to Birmingham Children’s Hospital as I feel I will forever owe them. So I am doing a sky dive to raise as much money as I can for such an amazing charity. This charity will always hold a special place in my heart and their support has been incredible.
At Birmingham Children’s Hospital Charity, I believe there’s always more we can all do for our sick children and families and that’s why i will always strive to do more for their patients and families. It’s my mission to raise the vital funds needed to make a real difference to all who use the hospital.Your support empowers them to take innovative approaches to treating some of the sickest children in the UK.
I hope you can help me reach my target before I take the plunge doing my sky dive in February at Skyline skydiving in Whitchurch Shropshire. It will be 6 year's on the 26th February 2025 since Hugo had his life changing surgery 💙.
All money raised will go to Birmingham Children's Hospital to help make a difference in somebody else's life when they are going through the hardest time of their lives like we did ourselves.
Any donations you can make will mean the world to me or even just sharing my story ❤️.
Thank you for taking the time to read my story it is very much appreciated.
Kind regards
Emma Cooke (Hugo's Mum)
