In March 2022 our fabulous friend, top fosterer and chief fundraiser, Maxine Lower, tragically lost her life. To this day she is greatly missed by everyone that knew her. It came to light in August 2022 that Maxine should have been taking part in the Great North Run to raise money for the charity she worked so hard for, Spaniel Aid UK. After many emails Great North Run allowed me to defer her place, so that this year I could run it in her memory. Most of our followers, fosterers and volunteers had heard of or met Maxine, she touched the hearts of everyone who knew her. If you hadn't met her, it didn't matter, you knew this lady was one of a kind. This year I am running the Great North Run in her memory and hoping to raise some well needed funds for the charity she loved so much.
