Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

Cambridgeshire Police are running the Great Eastern Run 2024 to raise money for Peterborough Women's Aid.

Claire and I have both worked in safeguarding roles for many years during our careers within Cambridgeshire. As part of our roles we have seen the terrible impact of domestic abuse on families.

Women's Aid is one of the leading charities involved in safeguarding victims of domestic abuse working closely with Police to support, counsel and rehome vulnerable women and children.

I have been saying for a long time that I want to run a half marathon and can't think of many better reasons than in support of this worthy cause. Claire is a seasoned half marathon runner and had graciously agreed to accompany (drag) me round the course.

Please support us to raise some much needed money for this incredibly hard working charity.
