Story

We're Aiming High!

We are Emlyn and Beccy and have always been keen walkers, usually with our dogs. We have supported St. Michael's Hospice in various ways for many years and we're keen to continue . So when we received an email asking for volunteers to take on the challenge of Kilimanjaro we thought Why not! It would be an awesome personal achievement whilst raising funds funds for a fantastic local hospice.

Beccy has known two wonderful ladies who have sadly passed away, far too young, but received excellent end of life care at St.Michael's. The hospice provides such a peaceful environment with outstanding care and support for both patients and their families. We urge you to visit the hospice for one of the coffee mornings or charitable events to fully appreciate what an amazing facility it is to have in our county.

In recent years we have summited the three highest peaks on mainland Britain, the 3 peaks around Abergavenny and walked The West Highland Way. We know this challenge will be far more difficult, we're not spring chickens any more :) but we are determined to give it our all, both in fund raising and making it to the summit of Kilimanjaro.

All of the money raised will go to the Hospice as we will be covering the cost of the trip ourselves. If you could help us in any way, large or small, to achieve our goal it would be greatly appreciated.
