The Great Eastern Run is taking place on Sunday 13 October. Run, walk or skip round the 5km Fun Run or take part in the half marathon. It's a great opportunity for anyone wanting a challenge as well as raising funds for Light Project Peterborough.

Story

This October I will be taking part in the Great Eastern Run 5K event, with all monies raised going to Light Project Peterborough, a local charity I'm proud to work for who do great things in the city for the homeless community.

I'm sure you'd agree we should all have somewhere safe and warm to call home, but it's something most of us take for granted. No doubt you will have noticed the stark increase in numbers of people visibly on the streets and I've seen this increase first hand, with visitors to our day centre doubling since last year, a sad sign of the times we are living in. However, I also see the fabulous work being done by LPP and my colleagues to turn people's lives around.

Please do check out the amazing work LPP have achieved so far by viewing their webpage:

With your support we can continue to raise awareness and funding to help more people in dire need. Please give what you can, whatever you do will make such a difference and mean a lot to me.

Thank you.
