Event: CoppaTrek! with Gi - Brecon Beacons, from 8 June 2024 to 14 June 2024
This June, we’ll be setting out on an extraordinary, life-changing trek, all in the name of copping a feel! With Giovanna Fletcher at the helm, our fabulous community of trekkers will take on 100km of the stunning Welsh scenery of the Brecon Beacons!

Story

Just over a year ago my mum was diagnosed with breast cancer and large part of that diagnosis was due to Coppafeels monthly reminders to check your breast. Now she’s out the other side of her treatment and she’s cancer free (woohoo!) she’s doing what she can to raise money and awareness for Coppafeel. And so I’m trying to help her out.

In June she will be going on a trek up some mountains in the Brecon Beacons as part of a campaign called Coppatrek. There’s lots more about this on my Mum’s Just Giving page too.

CoppaFeel! are the first UK breast cancer charity to create awareness amongst young people, with the aim to instil a new healthy behaviour that could one day save a life. They are on a mission to ensure breast cancer is diagnosed early and correctly by getting the nation to check their boobs/chest regularly. They want to educate people on the signs and symptoms of breast cancer, encourage them to get to know what is normal for them and empower young people to have the confidence to see a doctor if they notice anything that isn't right for them.

As part of this fundraiser I am giving everyone and anyone the chance to suggest what I should dye on my hair next.

If you donate you can put your idea in the comment/message section and it'll be added to the selection of dye patterns & designs for me to chose from for the next few months.

I'm open to anything (within reason) and I've got a wonderful artist on board to help me fulfil the visions.

I usually keep them on for about 2 weeks or until my hair grows out and the pattern has faded. So I’ll just keep picking new ideas until my Mum goes on her trek in the summer.

Any donation amount is welcome, I’ll be grateful regardless of the size and it won’t affect whether your idea gets picked or not. And if you can’t think of anything to suggest feel free to donate anyway or donate directly to my Mum’s page.

Thank you for all the support, I’m looking forward to seeing what you all come up with!
