On Sunday 27 April 2025, I'll be running the London Marathon for WaterAid.

I have never run a marathon and have always been more of a casual, "fair weather" runner or a spectator... however, London was always the exception I was willing to make. I love this city, and I love the atmosphere on marathon day, and I'm so grateful to finally be able to run rather than watch from the sidelines!

Most importantly, I will be running for such a wonderful charity.

WaterAid is an international charity with the aim of advancing safe and sustainable water, sanitation and hygiene around the world.

Currently, almost 1 in 10 people worldwide don’t have clean water close to home and 1.5 billion people don't have their own toilet. WaterAid is working with local communities to install clean water systems such as taps, toilets, boreholes and wells, and to train local people to manage and maintain taps and toilets, using local, low-cost parts. WaterAid also works with governments to influence policy and change laws.
