Story
In December, I will be running the Richmond Half in preparation for the Edinburgh marathon in May to raise money for the incredible charity Beat.
As many of you know, in 2020 I was diagnosed with Anorexia, an illness which turned my life upside down and nearly took everything from me. After two years of fighting I managed to overcome my eating disorder, largely due to the amazing help Beat provided both myself and my family during this time.
Despite eating disorders possessing the highest rate of death of any mental illness, the lack of funding for the NHS means that so many can’t access the help that they desperately need. Beat aims to fill this gap and help those who otherwise would have to fight alone. Therefore they provide truly life saving work.
Please please please donate whatever you can. Even the smallest amount can make a massive difference to the life of someone struggling with an eating disorder.
