Story

Your postcode at birth should not determine the opportunities you have in life, but far too often people aren't able to reach their full potential because of this. Social mobility is crucial because it ensures that everyone, regardless of their background, has the chance to succeed.

Through the Teach First programme, I spent two years teaching English in a less-advantaged school, witnessing firsthand the barriers young people face.

I'm running the Royal Parks Half Marathon to raise funds for Making The Leap, a fantastic charity where I once worked, dedicated to helping young people from low-income backgrounds secure meaningful employment and improve their futures.

Making The Leap is also Howard Kennedy's charity partner (not long until our next work experience cohortt!) and I'll be running with some of my HK colleagues.

Together, we can break down barriers and build a brighter, more equitable future for all :)

In the UK, many young people never get the chance to succeed simply because they happen to be born poor. We transform the futures of young people from less-advantaged backgrounds by providing training to raise their aspirations & develop their skills, confidence & outlook to succeed in their career.
