I'm excited to be taking on the Firewalk to raise money for a cause very close to my heart: local mental health charity, Leeds Mind.

Leeds Mind promotes positive mental health and wellbeing, and provides support to anyone who needs it.

So many of us will experience mental health difficulties at some point in our lives. At a time when NHS waiting lists stretch into years rather than months, charities like this one are essential.

My challenge is to walk across red-hot coals, which can reach temperatures of over 1,200 degrees Fahrenheit!

This is a 'mind over matter' challenge, which, as the event gets closer, suddenly feels harder than a physical event...

This is a last-minute sign-up, so my additional challenge is to meet the £150 sponsorship target within a little over 24-hours 😬
