Fundraising for Bedford-MS-Therapy-Centre

Brighton Marathon 2025 · 6 April 2025 ·
Back in 2009, one of my closest friends, Lisa, was diagnosed with primary progressive Multiple Sclerosis. At the time I knew very little about this condition and how it would impact her life. She's faced it with such bravery, never complaining, and I am in awe of her positive outlook as she continues to manage this debilitating disease.
The MS Centre in Bedford has been life changing for Lis. She credits them with them fact she is still able to stand and walk short distances to keep her body moving. The centre provides Lis with alternative therapies and the opportunity to be part of a community that understand. Without their support, life could be very different for her.
The centre relies solely on donations and fundraising, so I've decided to try and raise £1,500 (I'd love to raise more) to fund the centre for a day. It's going to be a challenge but nothing in comparison to what Lis and many others have to face every day.
Building on 40 years supporting people living with MS to live more active and satisfying lives, we have a new vision to both increase and enhance the support we offer to the MS community while extending our scope to support people living with other conditions.
The range of high-quality therapies that we provide to the MS community are similarly beneficial for people living with other conditions such as Parkinson’s and stroke recovery, where talking to other local and national charities has identified a real need due to lack of provision elsewhere.
To realise this vision, we wish to extend and improve our Bedford Therapy Centre so that we have the capacity to increase the range of therapies that we offer, and deliver them to more people.
We have been able to provide so many therapies over the past 40 years thanks to the amazing support we receive from our supporters
