Story

I'm excited to announce that I'm gearing up for a challenge ahead: running the London Landmarks Half Marathon to fundraise & raise awareness for Sepsis UK.

I will be running in memory of my good friend Ava's sister Beth, who tragically passed away from Sepsis in August 2022 aged just 25. Witnessing their family's journey through this ordeal reinforced the crucial role organizations like Sepsis UK play in raising awareness and supporting those affected by this silent killer.

Sepsis can affect anyone, regardless of age or health status, and its symptoms can be easily mistaken for other illnesses. That's why education and early detection are paramount in saving lives!!

Please donate!! Any donation, no matter how big or small, can make a difference in the fight against sepsis.

Sepsis accounts for 48,000 deaths annually in the UK, that’s more than breast, bowel and prostate cancer put together. Sepsis is what happens when our immune system overreacts to an infection. Symptoms initially present as flu like but can rapidly deteriorate into a life threatening condition.
