Story
Those of you who know me well will be aware that to say I have never been particularly athletic would be an understatement. After recently completing my first Half Marathon (and promising myself I would never put myself through it again!) I have decided to sign up for another - this time, in aid of a charity.
It would not be unfair to call me a crazy cat lady. Growing up, we always had at least 2 (or 3, or 4) rescue cats as part of our family at any one time. As soon as I got my first home, a rescue cat of my own was high on the list. So it seemed fitting that I should do this run in aid of a charity which works to help unwanted cats, and those in need of a home, like our cats previously have been.
I will be running the London Landmarks Half Marathon in April 2025, fundraising for the Swindon branch of Cats Protection, to hopefully make a difference to the lives of cats in my local area.
I would be so grateful for any donations as I continue to put myself through running hell in aid of a good cause.
Thank you!
