Story

Jo is running the Valencia Marathon on Sunday 1 December to raise money for Hospice in the Weald.

We chose Hospice in the Weald, near Tunbridge Wells, following the recent passing of Lucy, daughter of long-standing Emery Little clients of over 25 years. Though Lucy had lived with stage 4 cancer for three and a half years, her health declined significantly over the past year. She leaves behind her husband and six-year-old daughter.

When it became clear that no further treatment was possible following four weeks in Pembury Hospital, the hospice stepped in, providing outstanding medical and palliative care in Lucy's final eleven days. Thanks to donations and fundraising efforts, they were able to offer this excellent care free of charge. Their support continues today, offering vital bereavement services to her husband, parents, and sister.
