Story

Please support me in raising vital funds for a St John Ambulance.

Why?

St John Ambulance (SJA) are the charity that steps forward in the moments that matter, to save lives and keep communities safe. They are a market leader in the provision of workplace training, first aid supplies and event and ambulance services.

Help me to help SJA

Anyone that knows me well, knew this (take 2) was inevitable...

I love running (although I will never openly admit it), I love what it has done for me (current weight loss is -53%) and I love running around London.

For me, nothing comes close to the buzz of running the London Marathon, it's epic, with an atmosphere you'll never forget or experience anywhere else. I believe that everyone should have a go if they can.

So being able to have a second go at running the London Marathon for SJA is an opportunity I could not turn down and my chance to give something back. After all, without SJA, I might not have completed it in 2023.🙌🏼

The work they do impacts everyone; helping us all in our hour of need.

So, here we go again.

On Sunday 21st April 2024, I will be making my way from Blackheath to Pall Mall, travelling 26.2 miles (42.2 km) on (my very dodgy) foot.

CHALLENGE EM!

But in an attempt to also 'conquer London' I will be challenging myself to complete my London Classics!

Three challenges based in and around London which include:

The London Marathon - completed badly last year, hopefully much better this year.

Swim Serpentine - completed in September '23, a 2 mile open water swim in Hyde Park's very own, disgusting, Serpentine. The water is as gross as it looks and you can definitely taste the duck poo.

Last, but by no means least, Ford RideLondon 100 - a 100 mile bike ride from London to Essex and back again. This is already scheduled for 26 May '24. I just need a bike! :D

And just for fun, I'm also going to complete...

London Winter Run - 25th February

London Landmark's Half Marathon - 7th April

Hackney Half Marathon - 19th May

Why should you sponsor me?

Please sponsor me if…

…you think SJA are amazing and do valuable work in and around your community.

…SJA have ever helped you or a loved one out in the past.

…you don’t want me bugging you for the next month!

…I’ve inspired you to enter the London Marathon Ballot for 2025 (it opens on Saturday 20th April, if you’re interested!!!).

…you think I’m a bloody idiot.

…you think my foot will fall off and you just want regular progress updates to see if it has.

Whatever the reason, whatever the donation, I would be hugely grateful and SJA even more so!

BIG Thanks from me
