Story
Thanks for visiting my fundraising page. I am working hard to give back for the amazing care I have received during diagnosis and treatment for breast cancer and really appreciate your support.
The Breast Centre at University Hospital Llandough treats between 450 and 500 new breast cancer patients every year. I first walked through the doors having found a lump in November 2023 and after a lumpectomy, lymph node clearance and radiotherapy, my recovery continues with physiotherapy and physio-led exercise.
Physio support has made such a difference to me, hugely improving my range of movement, strength and confidence. During breast cancer awareness month, I am challenging myself to do something physical every day for 30 days. I will be doing circuits, pilates, swimming, recovery-friendly CrossFit, walking and cycling. I might need a nap or two!
Your support will help so many people. I am forever indebted to Tor, Nat and Sarah for getting my body working again and the whole centre for being so wonderful.
