Story

Hello!

As you can see from this page I am raising vital funds for life saving research into Ewing sarcoma on behalf of Freddie’s Future.

Those who know me will know how much of a challenge this will be for someone with little long distance running experience but I am SO ready to push myself physically and mentally as I run for this incredible charity, who without funds cannot do further research into Ewing Sarcoma. This is an aggressive cancer that creates tumours in the bone and soft tissue that can spread to anywhere in the body, very quickly.Ewing sarcoma is the second most commonly diagnosed primary bone cancer in children and young people, after osteosarcoma.

I wanted to raise funds for this rare type of bone cancer particularly after reading Freddie’s story. I am running on behalf of Freddie’s families Special Fund named Freddie’s Future. The aim being to raise as much money as possible to aid the development of new and better treatments giving children like Freddie a better chance of surviving Ewing Sarcoma.

You can read Freddie’s story here:https://specialfunds-bcrt.blackbaud-sites.com/freddies-future/

Stay tuned as I update you on my journey to London Marathon 2024.

Much love and thank you,

Em x
