So there will be 9 of us running around the streets of Barry and Penarth hoping to complete the 26.2 miles on London Marathon day. 6 of the group have never run a marathon before. The challenge compared to London is totally different. The roads are not closed, there won't be any crowds giving encouragement, there won't be any drink stations, or energy stations there won't be any first aid. London is fairly flat, try and find a flat route in Barry.

However together we will get this done and in the process try and raise a couple of quid for Marie Curie.

Marie Curie provides care and support for people living with any terminal illness across the UK. Our nurses work night and day in peoples homes and our hospices offer specialist care. We also support people emotionally, provide practical information, and match them with trained volunteers.
