Story
We are taking on the incredible challenge of running the London Marathon together, in memory of Elsie Dot Stancombe.
In 2023, we ran a 3K charity fundraiser with Elsie. We cheered her on and held her hand every step of the way. Now, as we take on the London Marathon, we know she’ll be right there with us cheering us on in spirit.
Elsie loved watching the London Marathon with her Dad and always said she wanted him to run it one day in honour of her Nan, Day’s Mum, to raise money for charity.
This year, we’re making that happen - running for Elsie’s Story a Charitable Trust set up by her parents, Jenni and Day. This trust gives back to the community, spreading light and joy and continuing to write the chapters of Elsie’s remarkable story.
Elsie was a natural fundraiser always giving and always helping. She raised so much for charity and now we’re following in her footsteps.
We’re pushing ourselves beyond our limits, stepping way out of our comfort zones and dedicating this journey to her incredible legacy.
Training for the marathon has been about more than just running; it’s been a source of strength and focus during tough times. It’s given us the chance to connect, share heart-to-heart conversations and support each other through the hardest days.
We’re running to raise awareness and support for Elsie’s Story Charitable Trust which continues to make a positive difference in the community.
Please donate if you can. Together, we can make a difference and honour Elsie’s beautiful spirit. 🩷
